Installation Assistance
We are trialing an installation helpline for new/evaluating customers. Please call 0871 311 1047 to reach the installation helpline. This service is only for new installation/configuration help for our VPOP3 software, not for general technical support. Please see our support page for details on obtaining general technical support.
If you use this service we will ask you to download a remote support utility by Bomgar so that we can install and/or configure VPOP3 for you (this software does not leave any 'residue' on your computer after the call such as spyware or adware). If you cannot do this, we may not be able to help you using this service and you should contact our general support line.
Calls to this line cost 10p per minute from BT landlines. Calls from other networks or mobile phones may vary. Calls usually take no longer than 30 minutes (£3.00).
This line will be open from Monday to Friday 9:30am-5:00pm UK time (except on bank holidays or over the Christmas period).
Upgrades
If you are upgrading from 2.x to 3.x, VPOP3 will keep all your settings. Usually this upgrade procedure goes without any problems, but very occasionally something will go wrong with the PostgreSQL installation part of the upgrade. We recommend that you do the upgrade during UK office hours, and, if something goes wrong during the installation, call us on 0845 053 0371 and we will be able to remotely access your server (with your permission) and sort out the problem for you free of charge.
If you want us to help you out of office hours we can usually arrange this if you contact us in advance, but this will be subject to a charge of £50 + VAT.
Upgrades from 3.x to a later 3.x should never have any problems
